BBL™ & Halo™

BBL + Halo

While BBL works wonders in treating redness, broken capillaries, brown spots from aging, active life-styles and sun damage… combining it with the Halo laser, which targets pigment, fine lines, pore size, tone and texture, you will get a complete skin rejuvenation treatment.

BBL + Halo

How it works

This combo treatment targets the surface damage as well as going deep to target underlying pigmentation that is beneath the surface of the skin that will otherwise surface as we continue to age. This will also improve the skin’s texture, fine lines and pore size, which BBL alone wouldn’t do. It is a non-ablative laser treatment with little-to-no downtime.

Pre Treatment Instructions

Patients can NOT be sunburn or suntan 4 weeks prior to laser treatments. Treatment of tanned skin can increase the risk of permanent skin discoloration and possible blistering.

Do not use any self-tanning lotions in the month prior to treatment.

Stop the use of Retin-A, Renova, and/or Differin, for one week prior to treatment.

Patients who have any history of “herpes”, “cold sores”, or “fever blisters” will need to take an antiviral drug for 5 days starting on the day before your treatment.

Pictures will be taken using VISIA

Topical anesthetic cream will be applied 1 hour before the appointment time.

What to expect after your treatment

Intense burning, redness, warmth and a sunburned sensation are normal responses following BBL treatment generally lasting 2-4 hours after your treatment. Ibuprofen or Advil can be taken as directed for pain. TNS Ceramide Treatment Cream will be given to the patient post procedure. This will keep the patient’s skin hydrated and will help them heal quickly.

Patients will also be given a post procedure topical and wash to use at home for the next 5 days.

Brown spots may get darker before they become scaly and fall off leaving new, healthy skin. This takes about 2 weeks. DO NOT pick or scrub these areas.

No Sun exposure for about 2 weeks after treatment. ELTA MD SPF is recommended.

Patients can NOT wear makeup for at least 3 days or until tiny scabs form.

Post pictures will be taken using Visia at your next visit.
